hellllllllllllo!!!!! its 1235 now and mj khakis have full attendance! (super rare) so we went teo heng and ahlao is nagging at me to blog about the bday celebration! she is diao-ing me as i type this and im very beli weli meli zeli feli reli yeli scaredddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i so need a space to write..
i was so tensed up whenever a lawyer approach me..
i dunno what to say how to say and when to say..
i dunno what body language to show..
i felt so lost..so stupid at times..
it was so bad already BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY
I SAID SOMETHING I SHOULDNT SAY AT WORK TODAY..

this is how it goes..
Q: shujuan...
A: i heard a faint call of my name, tried to ignore, since i thought i was dreaming.. (reason being, i was hardly being called..haha..it's abit sad..but thats the working environment)
Q: Shujuannnnnnn, when are you graduating?
A: Next year April (i sort of shouted over since it's a few tables away)
Q: That's very long..why not you quit school and work here? (laughters were heard) What are you going to do after graduation?
A: err.. maybe find myself a job?
Q: good. you want to work here? we are offering a job?
A: huh?? i was stunned, shocked, frozen..
Q: come over here, we dont want to shout across..
A: worriedly i walked over..
Q: you want to work here? we are offering you a job.
A: ..(forgot what else i said)...i can consider...hahahaha tried to put on a natural smile laughter or whatever la huh..
Q: consider only?? ..(forgot what else they said)...
A: ya..hahaha (again trying hard to smile naturally) i heard from my teacher there has been quite a few people leaving this department.
Q: why? who's your teacher?
Q: is it Mr XXX? (said another)
A: no lah... Ms XXX ...
A: she just said it's quieter on this level and there are people leaving here and then..it's busy and noisier on another floor of the firm
Q: who is she?? (asking each other) ... (then turned to me)
A: er i guess she is an ex-employee
Q: haha who has been spreading around ah? i make sure i talk to her..hahha..
Q: haha ya but dont reveal the source and who you heard it from..haha
A: haha..tried to take a small step away as they laught to go back to my seat...

Back to my seat
Q: (by the only nice, friendly and pretty neighbour colleague) why you say abt ms XXX... you should understand that it is very often that there are employee changeovers and it is very normal in every firm...
A: oh...smiles..oh...
Q: you should have took the opportunity and ask them about the job offer..how much they are offering you..etc...
A: oh...smiles (deep inside i suddenly realise ya huh that is what i'm supposed to talk about when they asked my over..but wells i was too panicky that time lah...they are like what partners of the firm and senior lawyers in the firm..hais)

walao..i'm so stressed over it all the way home..when i see the 7eleven, i got the urge and went to get myself a potato chips to eat...stressed...

the thing is this:
- unlike my friend's work place where they have an orientation, introduction to colleagues and a tour of the work place.. i was given none..
- thus, i had a miserable 1st day
- 1 mth has passed..have been following them around..it got better as the days go by but still they remained as cool as usual...
- i have been doing nth much, i can count the task assigned to my with my hands, around 5 i would say
- suddenly i was offered a job to take on after graduation..weird right..when they haven even assess me on whether i am capable doing the various jobs like drafting letters blah blah blah, cant find anywork on hands to let me try on..
- i actually always felt that i was a nuisance there lah..slacking...
- so i seriously dont uds why they offered me a job. although apparently today he said for the first time after 1 mth there that he would talk to me tmr morning and assign me a task..i'm so happy when he told me that..since i finally has got something to write about what i've learnt during my internship...


seriously i now question myself whether i would still want to study law overseas, study uni or work as a paralegal in a firm...

screwed...although assuming i stayed calm then and negotiated about my salary blah blah and the possibility of working there, i dunno if i would want to also.. but then this is life..i should have secured the job offer no matter what i choose to do after graduation, at least there would be a backup plan... hais but the environment in the firm is really too cool and cold for me...

stressed..someone pls give me a suggestion or advise how i should stop thinking about this whole incident..i just cant seem to not think about it...
